Working as an Apprentice Vehicle Fitter at one of the many Protyre Centres, you will be learning the skills required to become a fully skilled Vehicle Fitter, with a number of transferable skills.

With most people struggling to find the time to get things done, a Vehicle Fitting Apprentice plays a vital role in the automotive industry. Customers need to know their vehicle can be worked on, quickly, efficiently and to the highest standards.
As an Apprentice, you will work alongside an experienced Technician, maintaining and repairing customer’s vehicles, reporting to the Centre Manager.
Vehicle Fitting is a physically demanding role, being on your feet most of the time. You may be expected to work Saturday’s on a rota basis.
Duties will include;
- Checking, repairing and replacing tyres
- Carrying out steering geometry checks to ensure they are within manufacturer specifications
- You will also be working on braking, steering, suspension and exhaust systems
- Most importantly, dealing with customers
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will gain a Level 2 framework in Vehicle Fitting qualification, and, be a fully qualified Vehicle Fitter.
Vehicles are highly complex, and whilst no formal qualifications are required, you must be literate and numerate, with a desire to learn. You must possess a genuine interest in motor vehicle technology and have practical ability to become a first-rate vehicle fitter.

Training to be provided
The Apprenticeship is a great way of joining our winning team. With mentoring, support and monitoring whilst at work, combined with 12 weeks of residential training (over 2 years) at the Atcham Training Centre. You will gain the knowledge and skills required to achieve the qualification from working with some highly skilled professionals.
While taking part in the residential training, Apprentices stay at the Ramada Hotel in the heart of the buzzing town of Telford.
All travel, and, accommodation costs are covered by the employer, whilst attending the Training Centre.
