Vacancy Title: Apprentice Vehicle Fitter

With most people struggling to find the time to get things done, a Vehicle Fitting Apprentice plays a vital role in the automotive industry. Customers need to know their vehicle can be worked on, quickly, efficiently and to the highest standards.
As an Apprentice vehicle fitter, you will work alongside a qualified Vehicle Fitter, learning a trade vital to today’s fast paced society
Duties will include;
- Checking, repairing and replacing tyres
- Carrying out steering geometry checks to ensure they are within manufacturer specifications
- You will also be working on braking, steering, suspension and exhaust systems
- Most importantly, dealing with customers
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will gain a Level 2 framework in Vehicle Fitting qualification, and, be a fully qualified Vehicle Fitter.
Vehicles are highly complex, and whilst no formal qualifications are required, you must be literate and numerate, with a desire to learn. You must possess a genuine interest in motor vehicle technology, and, have practical ability to become a first-rate Vehicle Fitter.

Training to be provided
Your apprenticeship will last approximately 2 years, working towards a VRQ and VCQ in Vehicle Fitting. During this time, you will attend residential block release training at our state of the art Training Centre in Shrewsbury for a total of 12 weeks.
Apprentices stay at the International Hotel Telford
All travel, and, accommodation costs are covered by the employer, whilst attending the Training Centre.
