The Parts Apprentice will support the Parts Department in the day-to-day management, sourcing, and organisation of vehicle components. This role is ideal for someone starting a career in the motor industry who is enthusiastic about performance cars and eager to develop both technical knowledge and business skills within a professional workshop environment.
You will work closely with technicians, service advisors, and suppliers to ensure parts are available, accurately recorded, and delivered efficiently.
Duties will include;
- Assisting with the ordering, receiving, and checking of vehicle parts and accessories
- Learning to identify correct components using manufacturer parts catalogues and internal systems
- Supporting stock control, including inventory checks and stock rotation
- Labelling, storing, and organising parts in a clean and systematic manner
- Preparing parts for workshop jobs in line with job cards and technician requirements
- Handling returns and warranty parts under supervision
- Maintaining accurate records on internal systems
- Liaising with suppliers regarding availability and delivery times
- Ensuring the parts area is kept tidy, safe, and professional
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will gain a Level 2 Retailer Standards
About you
You will require GCSE Grade 4 (or equivalent) in both English and Mathematics. A Grade 3 or equivalent in one subject only may be considered dependent on other qualifications and prior experience. Modern logistic support processes and systems are highly complex, and you must have a desire to become a first-rate Parts Retailer and have a thirst for knowledge.

Training to be provided
With mentoring, support and monitoring whilst at work, combined with residential training, you will gain the knowledge and skills required to achieve the qualification from working with highly skilled professionals.
Please Note: Off the job training is on a residential basis with 3 residential blocks and fortnightly 1-1 training. All travel, and, accommodation costs are covered by the employer
